Joey David Tiempo is the Founder and Chief Creative of Octopus&Whale, a Game and Brand Experience Agency based in Manila. She was formerly the Executive Creative Director of Nuworks Interactive Labs, the largest independent digital advertising agency in the Philippines, and before that, the Executive Creative Director for TBWA\Digital Arts Network.

Joey’s body of work has been recognized at D&AD, Cannes Lions, One Show, Clio, AWARD, LIA and Webby, among others. She is a regular juror in the global awards circuit and has recently been invited as a specialist for emerging tech in D&AD Gaming and LIA Evolution and Creativity in the Metaverse.

She is passionate about raising young creative talent, actively contributing to D&AD New Blood Academy
and various local academic institutions. She is also
co-founder of the award-winning Manikako (My Doll),
a non-profit group that teaches creativity and environmental responsibility to children.

Joey is a frequent speaker, thought leader and mentor
to young creative entrepreneurs.


Joy is the head of intelligence at O&W with over 20 years experience in helping high-profile clients with their brand communication campaigns: Unilever,  Johnson & Johnson, Alaska, Del Monte, Nissan, Globe 
and Metrobank. She’s successfully launched key brands  such as Alaska Chocolate Powdered Milk Drink, Krem-Top Coffee Creamer, Del Monte Sauces new variants,Vaseline Shampoo, Carefree Feminine Wash, Rexona’s new product formats and Nissan’s brand relaunch in the country.

As Co-Founder and Lead Strategist for Octopus&Whale, Joy identifies new revenue streams to differentiate the company from traditional agencies. She also works with key 
brand stakeholders in 
creating a different path for 
a brand positioning or occupying a compelling communication platform.

Nolan’s many talents cross over to multiple fields — he is largely responsible for placing How’s Everything in the rankings, which was the #1 Production house in 2018. In that same year he also made #2 Director and Creative Director in the Adobo Creative Rankings. He has snagged major creative awards from Cannes, Cannes Young Lions, Kidlat, Tinta, Araw awards, Tambuli, Adobo Design, One Show, CLIO, Australian Awards, AME, FAME, LIA, New York Festival & AWARD.

In 2017 he was named 
#2 Hottest Creative in the Philippines, and again in 2018 landing #3, in the same rankings by Campaign 
Brief Asia.

As Creative Lead for Art, Nolan defines the artistic integrity 
for all O&W creative output. 
He also brings his knowledge in multimedia design and production to ensure that every idea can come to life within client parameters.

Bea steers O&W’s digital narrative, specializing in building brands across the digital space. Armed with a deep understanding of digital and other content delivery platforms, she drives gamified multi-channel marketing strategies and insights into our campaigns.

Bea is also quite the advertising hybrid, drawing from a wide range of experience from account management, creatives and strategic planning. She’s spent most of her years working closely with an insights and intelligence team, handling clients such as Unilever, JFC and Nestlé in a large digital agency.

She also holds certifications in Google AdWords, CDMP Digital Marketing Analytics Specialist Track.
