Joey David Tiempo is the Founder and Chief Creative of Octopus&Whale, a Game and Brand Experience Agency based in Manila. She was formerly the Executive Creative Director of Nuworks Interactive Labs, the largest independent digital advertising agency in the Philippines, and before that, the Executive Creative Director for TBWA\Digital Arts Network.

Joey’s body of work has been recognised at Cannes Lions, D&AD, One Show, Clio, AWARD Awards, LIA, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, AdFest, AdStars, Digital Asia Festival, AMES, and others. She has been invited to serve as jury in the Cannes Lions, D&AD, ADC, New York Festivals, Spikes Asia, AdFest and AdStars.

As Chief Creative for Octopus&Whale, Joey shifts seamlessly between traditional 
and digital advertising. She integrates gaming into marketing principles to create unique brand experiences and digital products 
for partner agencies and clients.


Joy is the head of intelligence at O&W with over 20 years experience in helping high-profile clients with their brand communication campaigns: Unilever,  Johnson & Johnson, Alaska, Del Monte, Nissan, Globe 
and Metrobank. She’s successfully launched key brands  such as Alaska Chocolate Powdered Milk Drink, Krem-Top Coffee Creamer, Del Monte Sauces new variants,Vaseline Shampoo, Carefree Feminine Wash, Rexona’s new product formats and Nissan’s brand relaunch in the country.

As Co-Founder and Lead Strategist for Octopus&Whale, Joy identifies new revenue streams to differentiate the company from traditional agencies. She also works with key 
brand stakeholders in 
creating a different path for 
a brand positioning or occupying a compelling communication platform.

Nolan’s many talents cross over to multiple fields — he is largely responsible for placing How’s Everything in the rankings, which was the #1 Production house in 2018. In that same year he also made #2 Director and Creative Director in the Adobo Creative Rankings. He has snagged major creative awards from Cannes, Cannes Young Lions, Kidlat, Tinta, Araw awards, Tambuli, Adobo Design, One Show, CLIO, Australian Awards, AME, FAME, LIA, New York Festival & AWARD.

In 2017 he was named 
#2 Hottest Creative in the Philippines, and again in 2018 landing #3, in the same rankings by Campaign 
Brief Asia.

As Creative Lead for Art, Nolan defines the artistic integrity 
for all O&W creative output. 
He also brings his knowledge in multimedia design and production to ensure that every idea can come to life within client parameters.

As Creative Lead for Innovation, Abi infuses craft into gamified content to create engaging brand experiences. A writer, art director and gamer, she is able to navigate through these different areas to extract insights for new digital products.

She started her creative career by representing the country as a Young Lion in the Cannes Young Lion Design Competition in 2012, where she brought home a bronze. Her work has been recognized in Kidlat Awards, Adobo Design Awards, Spikes Asia, AdFest, One Show, New York Festival, Clio Awards and Cannes Lions. Her client roster includes Belo Essentials, Ayala Group of Companies, Smart Communications, Nestle and Unilever.

Pau is O&W’s Digital arm. She was an Associate Creative Director at Nuworks and Design Manager at Bonsey Jaden, a Sydney-based digital agency where she lead a creative team across The Philippines, Malaysia, Thailand, Indonesia, and Australia. Pau helped with work that’s won at Cannes, Spikes Asia, AdFest, Caples, and Kidlat. She also helped blue chip clients like Unilever, Nestle, Jollibee, Smart, Ayala, Bench/, L’Oreal, Freemantle Media, and UNICEF.

As Creative Lead for Digital Design, Pau brings a deep understanding of the digital media and technological trends to create and produce concepts across multiple user touchpoints. She is able to distill ideas from analytics and data to design custom-made interfaces and experiences.

Terence Eduarte is an illustrator and formerly an Associate Creative Director for Nuworks. His advertising work has been recognized in various awards shows like The One Show, New York Festivals, Adobo Design Awards and Kidlat Awards.  As an illustrator, he has worked for publications like Wired UK, Newsweek and Stylist Magazine. He is also currently a member of the Society of Illustrators New York.

His recent project, “100 Days of Secrets”, has reached a worldwide audience and was featured on various channels like 
My Modern Met, Huffpost, Metro UK, Upworthy, and Fubiz. The project won numerous awards like The World Illustration Awards, 3×3 New York 
and a gold in Adobo Design Awards.

As Creative Lead for Design, Terence is able to merge storytelling with his unique design philosophy. A digital native, social influencer and entrepreneur, he is able to effortlessly play and experiment with different media to create engaging experiences.
